Why we started CEBHA+
Makerere University’s College of Health Sciences (MakCHS) is a founding member of the CEBHA initiative. Drawing on its existing strengths in management and finance, MakCHS has established an African Coordination Office for the CEBHA+ consortium.

Makerere University School of Public Health (a constituent school of MakCHS) has a Trauma, Injury, & Disability (TRIAD) unit that leads research in all types of injuries in the country and the region. TRIAD has a long history of multi-sectoral collaboration in research and community service, involving such diverse sectors as health, policing, transport, education, and urban planning. Apart from our coordinating function, we head the Research Task 4 on ‘Finding the evidence for improved implementation of road traffic injury prevention interventions’ in CEBHA+.
