Rwanda - University of Rwanda

The University of Rwanda is the only public university in Rwanda, and is responsible for training of health professionals and leader in multidisciplinary research. The College of Medicine and health Sciences (UR-CMHS) collaborates with the Ministry of Health of Rwanda to support and guide in health policy decision-making with the generation of evidence. Currently, the government of Rwanda is actively and aggressively implementing various interventions to prevent and manage NCDs, mainly through population level interventions focused on physical activity, risk factor screening, early detection and treatment.  Through its research and the generation of evidence UR-CMHS, supports such activities. UR–CMHS contributes to CEBHA+ in leading the implementation and evaluation of population level interventions which target risk factors for hypertensions and diabetes.
