South Africa - Cochrane South Africa

Cochrane South Africa (SA) is based at the South African Medical Research Council and is part of the global Cochrane network of researchers, professionals, patients, carers and people interested in health. Cochrane SA has experience in conducting evidence synthesis and promoting the use of evidence in policy and practice. Within the CEBHA+ consortium, Cochrane SA is leading on systematic reviews of screening interventions for type 2 diabetes and hypertension and population level interventions to increase physical activity to prevent cardiovascular diseases and diabetes; and is contributing to reviews on the integration of care for hypertension, diabetes and other conditions. Cochrane SA is also contributing to the CEBHA+ capacity development and networking activities (including training facilitation, mentorship and supervision) and is providing methodological support as required.
