Research Task 2

 

Evidence-informed policies and practices on integrated models of health delivery for hypertension and diabetes in sub-Saharan Africa

 

For this task we are conducting:

​

1. A study to determine the prevalence of diabetes, hypertension and depression amongst HIV-positive people receiving ART;

2. A review of existing evidence on integration of care for hypertension and diabetes;

3. A review existing evidence on integration of care for other diseases;

4. A study to implement a comprehensive approach to patient education and counselling for patients with noncommunicable chronic diseases in primary care.
